I am a licensed Clinical Social worker with over 10 years experience working with women, children, and families. I currently am seeing children ages 0-10 (in person) as well as adults (telehealth only).

For Children: All children deserve a special place where they can be seen, validated, and supported. Drawing from non directive and directive play strategies (Play is the language of children!), I support toddlers, kids, and their parents explore, learn, and grow together to tackle whatever challenges may come their way. Play therapy isn’t about “fixing” something that is broken, its about discovery, working through difficult feelings or questions, celebrating uniqueness, and developing the skills and confidence to take on the inevitable ups and downs of life.

For Adults: I am passionate about creating an empowering space that allows you to discover your own strength and resiliency in the face of struggle. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, where two experts come together to share knowledge and work to gain new insights and skills. I draw from a variety of approaches depending upon your unique situation and preferences, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and mindfulness strategies to achieve your self-identified goals.

Helping Service Professionals: As a former supervisor of direct service teams and interns, I am also passionate about supporting helping professionals (i.e. mental health, human services, and medical providers) navigate the impacts of secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout in their lives. Left unacknowledged or unaddressed, these things will prevent someone from being the professional they know they can be. Working from a neurobiological understanding of trauma, we would explore how your helping work is impacting you, identify skills or strategies to manage the stress, and create a plan that honors your needs in order for you to continue to share your gifts with others in a sustainable way.
