MJB Counseling
My practice is part of the Bainbridge Collaborative Counseling office where a I partner with other complimentary providers to provide holistic care. I primarily work with age 5 through young adulthood and parents. I have worked in child and family social services, the youth justice system, as a National Board Certified school counselor, ADHD coach, and as a non-profit founder. These roles have had an enormous influence over how I show up for my work a mental health therapist.
Providing affirming care for Neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ humans is at the core of my work, and I constantly strive to create a safe space for all of my clients. I lean heavily into somatic approaches like synergetic play therapy, brainspotting, and other non-directive person-centered approaches are often very effective in helping clients connect to deeper levels of healing and nervous system regulation. My background in social services means that I also work from a systems perspective and often work with families to build a strong web of support. I enjoy partnering with our local schools to support my neurodivergent clients.
