Compass Counseling and Consultation

Marcee Ben-Menachem

I work primarily with children through young adults who have a variety of unique traits and needs. Having worked as a school counselor, a social worker at the Learning Disabilities Association, and a coach for The Hallowell-Todaro Center, I have an affinity for partnering with individuals with the trait of ADHD, various learning differences, ASD, anxiety, and individuals who struggle with making social connections – including social isolation, bullying, relational aggression, and building friendships. I am flexible to client needs and draw from a variety of theoretical frameworks. My therapeutic orientation is strongly rooted in solution-focused, strengths-based, existential-humanistic, systemic perspectives with a special interest in helping clients develop a growth mindset. I believe that compassion and empathy are essential to the human experience. I meet clients where they are at and believe in supporting their growth by establishing an authentic and collaborative therapeutic foundation. I offer individual counseling, coaching, and school consultation services. I also offer a variety of small therapeutic skill building groups.
