Since 1992 I have offered a warm and welcoming space for psychotherapy with adolescents, adults, couples and elders. My PhD in clinical psychology is from Yale University. I completed my Predoctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Anxiety and Depressive Disorders at the University of Washington, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. I also hold an appointment at the University of Washington, Department of Psychology as a Clinical Assistant Professor where I provide training and psychotherapy supervision to PhD level clinical psychology graduate students.
I strive to provide services that are both practically useful and clinically insightful. My clinical work is an integration of psychodynamic and cognitive perspectives, both are well established and documented approaches to the psychotherapy process. I tailor treatments to best suit my client’s immediate needs. Psychotherapy affords one, through hard work and self exploration, a greater sense of choice and freedom from past constraints. In the end, a well conducted treatment offers one the opportunity to live life as desired.
