Qualifications for Membership
Clinical Membership in the Guild is open to professionals engaged in the conduct of psychotherapy on Bainbridge Island. Members who join after January 15, 2007 must be licensed mental health professionals in the State of Washington who have earned a minimum of a Master’s degree in one of the established mental health disciplines from an accredited college, university, or professional training program (including, but not limited to psychiatry, clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, and mental health counseling), or are a master level associate in the process of completing full licensure.
Membership Benefits
BIPG is a local professional organization that:
- Provides opportunities for networking with other therapists.
- Maintains this website for clients and community referral sources.
- Actively participates in our community through sponsorship and involvement in a variety of mental health related events and organizations (such as the Fall Forum, Bainbridge Island Health Fair, Kitsap County Schools Crisis Response Team, Helpline House, etc.).
Membership Application
The annual cost for a membership is $60 and Emeritus membership is $10 (email list only), Membership year runs from January 1 – December 31. The membership fee may be paid via PayPal (click the “Donate” button below and enter $60) or by check payable to Bainbridge Island Psychotherapy Guild, PO Box 11547, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. Please note that your membership application must be reviewed and accepted, and payment received, prior to becoming an active member.
The cost of membership contributes to the activities of the Guild, including this website. But, if the full membership fee is problematic, no qualified therapist will be turned away for financial hardship.
